St. Paul Lutheran Church, a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, was founded in 1912 as the first Lutheran church in Neenah to offer services in the English language! What was all the buzz about in November at First English in Wausau? It was the sound of a malaria-carrying mosquito that never rests. It may be cold here but in Africa there is no killing frost and no way to protect people from this mosquito except by spraying and the use of specially treated mosquito nets when sleeping. Drive Your Tractor to Church Sunday has become a regular event for New Hope Lutheran Church. ‘Tractors to Church’ all sizes, shapes and at time more than 50 roll along the rural roads to New Hope Lutheran Church for worship services, pig roasts, fellowship and fun! Visitors come from neighboring communities and share in the festivities sharing their rural roots and their faith. What a great way to celebrate life and faith with others. Pastor Poffinbarger stated “ the thing to remember is, we have other things to grow and harvest besides cows and corn and alfalfa and potatoes and beans. There are people all around us waiting to be invited to come and see and hear the word of the Lord. You know the neat thing about it is, this kind of harvest is always in season.
