March 10, 2012 - “Christian Worship in a Secular World:  Worship-centered Renewal in the 21st Century” at Zion Lutheran Church,  912 N. Oneida Street - Appleton, WI 54911

This is a Worship Conference featuring internationally know theologian, author and educator – Dr. Marva Dawn and is for all lay people, worship leaders, musicians, and clergy.  Some of Marva’s books include Reaching Out Without Dumbing Down, A Royal “Waste” of Time, How Shall We Worship – Vital Questions Series,   Morning by Morning:  Daily Meditations

June - August, 2012 - The Greater Milwaukee Synod Summer Immersion Experience

The Greater Milwaukee Synod Summer Immersion Experience is an opportunity for 7th grade – 12th grade youth to:

  • Visit urban gardens, medical clinics and city churches with vibrant ministries.
  • Volunteer in Milwaukee homeless shelters, domestic violence centers, food shelves and affordable housing communities.
  • Play interactive exercises about the causes of poverty and the survival choices homeless and working-poor families must make each month.
  • Reflect on what we, as people of faith can do!
During this experience youth will gain hands on knowledge and appreciation for urban ministry. Their faith will deepen, as well as, their own personal development.  It is affordable, you can choose a week in June, July or August, Housing will be at Casa Romero in Milwaukee and the programming will be provided by the Greater Milwaukee Synod Staff.  For posters or postcards to send to youth to generate interest click below: For more information contact Rhonda Hill at 414-671-1212 or rhonda@milwaukeesynod.org
